Bellini
Bellini Yacht is a family-owned Italian builder rooted in Lake Iseo since 1960, returning to production after a fifty-year hiatus with walkaround sport cruisers that sit squarely in the superyacht tender and chase boat conversation.

About Bellini
Bellini Nautica SPA is an Italian group headquartered on the shores of Lake Iseo in Lombardy, trading in the nautical sector since 1960. The production business unit, Bellini Yacht, carries the original family name forward into a contemporary range of walkaround sport cruisers suited to tender and chase roles alongside larger yachts.
The yard's roots are in wooden runabouts that, in the 1960s, competed with Riva in both style and performance - models such as the Condor, Atlantic, Iseo, and the original Astor. When founder Battista Bellini fell seriously ill in the early 1970s, hull production ceased and the business shifted to storage, restoration, and refitting, building deep expertise in finish and paint. A new generation has since revived construction, listing Bellini Nautica SPA on the Euronext Growth Milan exchange in 2022.
The current Astor range is the build we put in front of owners who want Italian heritage with a credible specification brief. The Astor 36 - 11.30 metres, deep-V GRP hull, twin Volvo Penta petrol or diesel options ranging from 300 hp to 380 hp per side, draft of 0.70 metres, and a top speed exceeding 42 knots in twin 380 hp trim - positions cleanly as a fast day tender or chase companion for yachts in the 30-55 metre bracket. The Astor 58 scales the same architectural language to a 58-foot walkaround capable of overnight passages. An Astor 68 is in development.
Exterior design is by Brunello Acampora of Victory Design, with product leadership by Norberto Ferretti. Hulls are finished in sprayed paint rather than gelcoat, with six signature colour configurations and further personalisation available through the B Atelier programme covering paint, upholstery, fabrics, and materials. The Astor 58 made its international debut at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival.

Most tender purchases go wrong in the brief, not the build. This guide walks the buying process end to end, brief first, garage envelope second, propulsion third, yard shortlist fourth, contract fifth, the way we run it for owners.

The tender garage is the most expensive box on the yacht to get wrong, once built, stretching it means cutting structure. This guide works backwards from the tender envelope through the seven dimensions that actually decide which boat fits.
ReadCustom vs Semi-Custom vs Production Tenders
Production, semi-custom and full-custom are not a quality ladder, they are three different commercial propositions. This guide defines each tier, what they cost, the lead times, and how to pick the right one for the brief before a yard is chosen.

A tender purchase that closes without a clean survey, a bound insurance policy and a documented sea trial has three failure modes baked in. This guide walks the acquisition sequence we use, what good looks like at each step, and the recurring traps.
