About this tender

Novamarine RH1000 - what we know.

The RH 1000 is the mid-range entry in Novamarine's RH Line, sitting between the RH 800 and the larger RH 1200. At 9.99m on the waterline, it is long enough to carry fifteen persons at pace without feeling stretched, yet compact enough to fit a well-proportioned tender garage on most vessels above 50 metres. The outboard configuration keeps the transom uncluttered and simplifies crane-out servicing at any marina.

The headline numbers are straightforward: 800 hp total, a cruising speed of 35 knots, and a published top speed of 52 knots. Those figures put the RH 1000 in direct competition with comparable RIBs from the established Italian and British yards, and the 3.75m beam gives the deck area to support a serious on-water programme rather than a simple shore-run tender. Novamarine describes the deck materials as selected for both elegance and functionality, which in practical terms means a surface that holds up under wet-foot traffic and resists the UV exposure typical of a Mediterranean season.

Highlights

Built for the work.

The four details we'd point out first to a captain who hasn't seen one on the water yet.

01

52-knot outboard performance

Novamarine rates the RH 1000 at 52 knots maximum and 35 knots cruising, driven by an outboard installation producing a combined 800 hp. That speed-to-length ratio makes it a credible rapid-response tender for programmes where covering distance quickly matters.

02

Fifteen-person certified capacity

The RH 1000 is rated for fifteen persons, which is a meaningful number on a 9.99m hull. It means the boat can handle a full guest transfer in a single run without the fatigue of back-and-forth operations.

03

3.75m beam for deck usability

At 3.75m, the beam is wide relative to the length, providing a stable working platform and enough clear deck to lay out water toys or seat guests comfortably at anchor. The proportions suit dual-use operation as both a transfer tender and a day-use leisure craft.

04

RH Line family compatibility

The RH 1000 sits in a three-model line alongside the RH 800 and RH 1200, which means your programme can step up or down in length without changing yards, dealer relationships, or spare-parts logistics.

Questions, answered

Before you enquire.

What propulsion system does the RH 1000 use?
The RH 1000 uses an outboard configuration rated at a combined 800 hp. Outboard installation keeps the transom clear, simplifies lifting and storage in a tender garage, and reduces in-water service requirements compared with inboard or sterndrive alternatives.
How many people can the RH 1000 carry?
Novamarine rates the RH 1000 for fifteen persons. That is sufficient for a full guest complement on most superyacht programmes without needing a second transfer run.
How does the RH 1000 fit in the Novamarine RH Line?
The RH Line comprises three models: the RH 800, the RH 1000, and the larger RH 1200. The RH 1000 at 9.99m is the mid-range option, suitable for programmes that need more capacity than the 800 but do not require the additional length of the 1200.
Is the RH 1000 a RIB or a rigid-hull boat?
The source describes the RH 1000 as an inflatable boat, which in the context of Novamarine's range means a RIB construction with an inflatable tube collar and a rigid hull beneath. The outboard drive configuration is consistent with this RIB classification.
What are the headline performance figures for the RH 1000?
Novamarine publishes a cruising speed of 35 knots and a maximum speed of 52 knots for the RH 1000. These are manufacturer figures; real-world performance will depend on engine specification, load, and sea state.

The yard

Novamarine

Olbia, Italy

Novamarine is a Sardinian RIB and luxury tender builder, operational from Olbia on Italy's northeastern coast. The current company in its present corporate form dates to 2008, growing out of the SNO shipyard group led by brothers Andrea and Francesco Pirro; the broader brand lineage traces back to production in Olbia from the early 1980s. The yard builds at the SNO site in Olbia, with direct sea access, and targets the superyacht support, professional, and military markets across a range of four active lines: the flagship Black Shiver (BS) series, the HD line, the RH line, and a smaller Tender series - covering hulls from roughly 4.0m out to 24.0m.

In the superyacht context, the build we ask Novamarine for is a Black Shiver: a high-capacity RIB whose foam-filled, closed-cell tubes are engineered to be puncture-resistant and non-deflating, giving meaningful safety and stability margins over a conventional air-tube collar. Hull construction runs fiberglass with vinylester resin and Kevlar reinforcement. The BS 100 (9.98m) carries up to twenty guests at up to 47 knots; the BS 120 (12.0m) is the most requested hull for professional and military programmes; the BS 160 (17.0m) steps up to a full cabin format with multi-engine outboard or sterndrive options. The BS 220 sits at the top of the range as a self-sufficient passage-capable tender. Forty-three percent of Novamarine sales go to foreign customers, and the vessels are in service with coast guard and rescue agencies alongside private superyacht programmes - a build quality signal captains and project managers read clearly.
